The safety of our guests, the crew and our boat is our No. 1 priority. The captain will constantly assesses the environmental conditions and sea state, and will maintain control of the safety and well-being of the passengers and crew at all times. Any behavior or condition deemed unsafe may result in the end of the charter.

 
  • We run two fishing charters every day, Monday to Sunday. Charters are 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. (dock to dock) and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. (dock to dock). Please arrive at the boat 10-15 minutes prior to your charter.

  • Please call or text Capt. Josh Metiva at (231) 299-0825 or email him at info@profishnseascharters.com to book your charter. Please let the captain know what day you would like to fish, morning or evening, and how many people will be fishing. We require a $100 deposit for all charters.

  • A charter is $700 for four people. Additional people are $150 each. We will take six total guests on the charter. We require a $100 deposit.

  • We accept cash and PayPal. We require a $100 deposit, with the rest of the payment due in full after the charter.

  • We get it — life happens. We will refund your $100 deposit if you give us two week’s notice. We will apply your deposit to another charter date if you only give us 48 hours advance notice. If you can’t give us 48-hours notice, we will keep your deposit.

  • The Pro Fish ‘n Sea is a Tiara Open 33. It is 12-feet wide so it’s got plenty of room for a fun fishing trip.

  • The Pro Fish ‘n Sea is docked at 522 Water St., Manistee, Mich.

  • Everyone who touches a fishing rod must have a Michigan fishing license valid for the day of your charter. You can get one online from the State of Michigan; or purchase one from most sporting goods or department stores. Please have your fishing license when you show up for your charter.

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can layer or take off if you get hot or cold, non-marking shoes, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. We fish rain or shine, as long as it’s safe. So check the weather and plan for rain gear, if necessary. Please wear shoes with non-marking soles.

  • There are lots of great places to stay while you visit Manistee. Please visit the Manistee County CVB website for a listing of member hotels.

  • Tips are appreciated for exceptional service.

  • We will clean and package your catch. All you need to do is bring a cooler to take it home.

  • Bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen and a cooler to carry the fish you will catch back home. And don’t forget to bring your Michigan-issued fishing license. Please don’t bring glass containers onto the boat. Wear shoes with non-marking soles so we can keep the Pro Fish ‘n Sea in pristine condition.

  • The safety of the guests, the crew and the boat is our No 1 priority. The captain will make the weather call in case of inclement weather. We fish in the rain as long as it’s safe. So plan your clothing accordingly.

  • Absolutely! Bring the kids with you, but they count toward the capacity of the boat.
